About Adam Frosh

I am an ear, nose and throat surgeon working in Hertfordshire. I am also a descendant of Polish Jews from western Poland. Growing up, I was always haunted by the knowledge that almost every member of my extended family who remained in Poland before the war was murdered in the Holocaust.

That absence left me with a deep, lifelong sense of survivor’s guilt — the painful awareness that I am here because they were not given the chance to survive. This weight eventually drove me to write.

I am particularly drawn to stories from the Second World War that explore the importance of unity between peoples. Through my novels, I hope to honour those who were lost and to celebrate the courage of people who chose solidarity and humanity in the darkest of times.
